Wendy has had a camera in her hand since her high school days in Baytown, Texas. Her deep love of nature comes from childhood family camping trips, and later canoe and backpacking trips. Always chasing light and shadow, she continuously challenges herself, honing her craft, and begging her husband to “STOP THE TRUCK! THERE’S A PURPLE FLOWER BACK THERE!” Oh how she loves the wildflowers, and it shows in many of her award-winning images. For the last 8 years, Wendy has also cultivated a strong desire to “Save The Migration” of Monarch butterflies, which has directly led to Hello Butterfly Farms mission.
